The Challenge

What they’re up against

Hand holding iPhone with app icons on screen, operating the device

Old phones pile up,and people don’t know what to do with them.

Whether it's a junk drawer at home or a storage room at work, most phones just sit there because donating them feels confusing or risky.

Recycling costs money and donating doesn't always feel trustworthy

It can cost a lot to recycle phones the right way. Individuals don't know their options, and enterprises have to jump through hoops to make sure donating is cost effective but also doesn't create data leaks.

Most programs aren't clear about what actually happens

People want to help, but they don't trust programs that don't show results especially enterprises who need to prove their impact to stakeholders or want to use it to build their reputation.

Phone Case

People want to do good, but it needs to be easy and mission-aligned.

Donors have good intentions, but if the process takes too long, seems shady, or feels like a hassle, most people just give up or choose organizations where they can make a big impact without a big effort

The Successful Result

Every donated smartphone becomes more than a device—it becomes a bridge to education, independence, and inclusion for children with visual impairment. Together, we’re shaping brighter futures.
